Meet Juni Ejere, a software engineer who brings both technical skill and personal healing to the heart of Hair Hub. Raised in Weatherford, Texas after being born in Nigeria, she grew up disliking her hair, shaped by a world where textured hair was rarely represented and resources for caring for it were almost nonexistent.
While earning her degree in Computer Information Systems at St. Mary’s University, where she graduated summa cum laude and balanced soccer, leadership roles, and multiple disciplines, Juni also began a quieter, more personal journey. It took a long time, and a lot of prayer and healing, for her to see the beauty in the hair God specifically chose for her. As she grew into herself, she led student organizations, joined the National Diversity Council Emerging Leader’s Program, and honed the technical development skills she now pours into Hair Hub.
After growing up without representation and without education on caring for Black hair, Juni now views Hair Hub as a chance to give back. Through Hair Hub, she’s helping others see the beauty in their own hair by building a platform that offers representation, inspiration, and real tools for styling textured hair with confidence.
